Job Description
The role is responsible for interpreting demand/forecasts into an operational production plan, and impletenting that plan in order to achieve high levels of service, on time delivery etc. Plans & issues a production schedule to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts. Managing short & long term range demands to maintain level workloads for the shop floor. Updating weekly KPI\'s, attending daily meeting to discuss issues and to have the ability to follow batches through from point of release to point of dispatch. They will be responsible for planning production schedules using MRP systems to meet requirements.
Successful individuals will be a self-starter, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate requires a very \'hands on\' approach, and needs that experience to back it up. They require to have had planning range of a wide scope of products. They must have had planning experience working for large companies preferably in the manufacturing industry, not particulary engineering must be able to identify issues, strong written and verbal communication, must be IT literate, and can problem solve.
Recognized industry qualifications, background in manufacturing and planning from that industry. Advanced knowledge of MRP Systems and microsoft products.
